Molding

EPDM compounds of low viscosity have good flow behavior and therefore can be molded to complicated shapes by

• compression molding
• transfer molding
• injection molding.

The feed strips for injection molding must have good green strength to ensure good feed behavior. Additionally, a relatively high ethylene content improves the flow behavior and demolding properties. The reversion resistance of the material permits high cure temperatures and therefore short cure cycles.
